As we just moved in on our homestead it was still winter (jan. 2024). We still had to figure out how and where to plan the vegetable garden. As spring approached we have start a basic vegetable garden on the spot the previous owners had also a garden. Mainly because of the fertile soil. But the challenge will be for next year, we have to plan ahead how we are designing the garden based on our observations this year.

We have an area in the garden with the fruit orchard. But there are also fruit trees around and in our to become veggie garden. As they are not always good maintained, we have to rearrange and cut some fruit trees. So that will be a task for early autumn.
